Brief
Rebuilding lost organic traffic following a website migration
The Radcliffe Group consists of 10+ websites that produce content for healthcare professionals in cardiology. Following a website migration in February 2021, their main website saw a major drop in organic traffic. They wanted to regain lost traffic to their main site and other websites by ensuring technical SEO and on-page optimisation were a priority moving forward.
The
Strategy
Fixing technical SEO issues
Starting with a thorough audit, I analysed the site before vs. after the migration and discovered where there were issues including a lack of post-migration redirects, duplication/canonicalisation issues, redirect chains, poor URL structures and more. I have been working with their developers to fix these issues, training their content team on keyword research and optimisation of new content and have also now moved on to maximising visibility via changes to page templates and more.
The
Results
A lot of the technical SEO issues have now been addressed and fixed, and the site is performing much better for it. The site has seen a 27% YoY improvement in the average ranking for non-brand keywords users are searching to find the site and a 47% YoY increase in organic Clicks through to the main site. All other journal sites have also seen YoY organic traffic increases too.
